As we were leaving Nepal, the most bizarre Hindu festival took place in a village in south of Nepal near Indian border on 24th of November. The world's biggest animal mass sacrifice festival. More than 250 000 animals were slaughtered in the name of Gadhimai, a Hindu goddess of power.

It left us speechless...
Even though many people and organizations protested against the event and sent many petitions to government, government seemed to be doing nothing to stop it, in fact it approved this brutal happening !
It is such a shame, that human race has still not understood the impact of its bloody history.
Killing innocent creatures is done in the name of god - what kind of god is this ???
And isn't violence one of the sins of hinduism ??
Or is the mass sacrifice somehow other than violence ???

Igal pool tapetakse loomi, milles hindud süüdi on. Kas selles, et nad seda avalikult teevad või selles et nii palju loomi korraga.
Ma ei saa nagu päris hästi aru milles probleem, liha, nahad ja kondid kasutatakse ära, midagi ei jää vedelema. Kas on tõesti parem kui loom tapetakse tapamajas elektrišokiga, kui see et ta lüüakse maha linna keskväljakul jumala auks ja kiituseks. Tegemist on sellise eluvõõraste ära hellitatud lääne inimeste tekitatud müraga, või ma eksin?
Rohkem armastust ja kaastunnet, vähem religiooni !
